The challenge
Shalini had a strong point of view on travel ("we don't sell trips, we craft time") and a growing travel community, but no way to share it at scale. Her brand lived on word of mouth and itineraries. She needed a format that showed what Journýway stands for, without becoming another sales channel and without taking her away from running trips.
What we did
We built the show end to end. We shaped the concept around her philosophy of slow, meaningful travel, booked guests whose own journeys proved the point, recorded in the ObiiNxt studio, edited every episode into a long-form cut plus short clips, and published across YouTube and Instagram. One team, one point of contact, from idea to upload.
The idea: let travellers tell the story
Instead of a show about Journýway, we curated a show about the kind of traveller Journýway is for. Every guest was chosen because their story makes one of Shalini's beliefs real: travel slowly, travel meaningfully, travel together.
- Episode 1 · Priyank: 57 countries, one corporate job and zero excuses
- Episode 2 · Dr. Priya: he hated travel, she fixed that
- Episode 3 · Nandini: from guilt trips to girls' trips
- Episode 4 · Ramya Arjun: 12 months of travel for her 40th birthday
- Episode 5 · Raksha Nagaraj: courage comes after the trip
What we did, step by step
1. Curation
We defined the show's voice with Shalini, wrote the format, and researched and booked guests: a corporate professional who has seen 57 countries, a doctor, a woman who gifted herself a year of travel at 40, and more. Each episode has a clear human hook that works as a title and a thumbnail.
2. Studio
Every episode was recorded in the ObiiNxt studio in Bengaluru with professional microphones, multi-camera video and lighting. Shalini arrived, sat down and hosted. Set-up, sound checks and direction were ours.
3. Production and editing
We edited each conversation into a tight long-form episode, then cut vertical clips around the strongest moments, such as Nandini's Amarnath trek and Ramya's "can I actually afford this?" answer. Titles, thumbnails and descriptions were written for search.
4. Distribution
Episodes went live on the show's YouTube channel with clips on Instagram, so the same conversation reached people searching for travel stories and people scrolling reels.
Why it worked
The show gives Journýway something no itinerary can: proof of the feeling. A prospective traveller can watch real people talk about what slow, social travel did for them, in Shalini's own voice, before they ever book a call.
