The challenge
Students and parents trust a counsellor they have seen and heard. Shiva had years of knowledge and access to universities, but he was soft-spoken and more comfortable advising one family at a time than speaking to a camera. In a crowded study-abroad market, staying invisible meant competing on price instead of trust.
What we did
We designed a format where Shiva did not have to perform: he asks the questions families actually ask, and the experts answer. We booked the guests, coached him on camera until hosting felt natural, recorded in the ObiiNxt studio, edited every episode and webinar, and published on YouTube and Instagram under one recognisable name, #AskShivaKrishna.
The idea: let the experts talk, let Shiva ask
Shiva did not need to become a showman. We built the show around his real strength, asking the right questions, and brought in the people families want answers from: universities, consulates and insiders.

What we did, step by step
1. Curation
We mapped the questions families ask Shiva every week (France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Finland, the USA, MBBS abroad) and turned each into an episode with a guest who can answer it with authority. We researched and booked university representatives, a consulate official, admissions insiders and education experts.
2. Coaching and studio
Hosting did not come naturally to Shiva at first, so we built confidence before we built content: question flow, pacing and on-camera presence. Every episode was recorded in the ObiiNxt studio with multi-camera video, so all he had to do was have the conversation.
3. Production and editing
We edited long-form episodes and full webinars, and cut short clips around single, searchable answers, such as medicine in Spain versus India, or why French universities were slow to come to India. Titles and descriptions were written around what students actually type into YouTube.
4. Distribution
Everything ships under one name, #AskShivaKrishna, on YouTube and Instagram, so every clip builds the same brand and points back to Shiva.
Why it worked
Parents choosing a study-abroad counsellor are making a decision worth lakhs. Seeing Shiva in conversation with a French consulate official or an NJIT representative gives them a reason to trust him before the first call, and gives Shiva a library of answers he can send to every family that asks.
